RIPTAA observes Printer’s Day in Kolkata
The Regional Institute of Printing Technology Alumni Association (RIPTAA) observed Printers’ Day on 25 February at the Regional Institute of Printing Technology (RIPT) in Kolkata. Owing to Sivaratri, this year, the celebration was held on the next day instead of the stipulated date of 24 February.

Manu Choudhury, director, CDC Printers, was the invited speaker on the occasion. He spoke on ‘Colour, its journey from nature to paper.’
More than 200 people comprising of students, teachers and members of RIPTAA attended the event.
Also present on the occasion was Diptendu Chowdhury, principal, RIPT, who set the tone of the event with his introduction. Surendra B Dhote, president, Gautam Das, vice-president and Nirmal Kanti Saha, general secretary, RIPTAA also addressed the audience. Abhijit Sarkar, president, West Bengal Master Printers’ Association and Dilip Kumar Roy, ex-president, All Bengal Master Printers’ Association were also present.
The spring issue of PrintOut, the official Journal of RIPTAA was released on the occasion.
