Since the installation, the books and commercial printing company has printed more than 20 lakh sheets by employing workers on twelve hour single shifts.

Commenting on the installation, Vikas Arora, cheif exectuive offier, Royal Offset Printers said, “It is our second new four-colour printing press in last few years. We opted for Ryobi 924 because of its unique printable size of 900x615mm and because it was well within our budgets. We plan to run the press round-the-clock in a month's time. We expect around 15% growth in our total revenue by opting for this press.”

Recently, Royal also commissioned a Basysprint CTCP. The pre-press division of the company fires more than 350 plates in its 24x7 operation, and is planning to consume 500 plates per day in next few months.

“We are also planning to start a new production facility at Tronica City (Ghaziabad) and venturing in to offline UV. This is in addition to a digital production facility that has been part of all strategy,” he added.

The company is on its way to achieve a target of printing more than two lakh sheets per day. In addition to the newly installed Ryobi, the plant also houses multicolour printing presses from Akiyama Bestech, Komori and Heidelberg. The Epson Stylus Pro 7700 and 9900 and a Konica Minolta 6501 are used for proofing.

“Big foreign publishers are coming to India and it will definitely create opportunities for us. Firstly, we will consider domestic demand and then we will opt for export. The book printing industry is growing at 12% annually and our growth rate has been close  to 22% year-on-year,” concluded Arora.
