Having used the machine for the last eight months, Mahavir Jain, owner, Ankan Offset is impressed with RMGT’s makeready times and sharper colour. He said, “The press is ready for the next job within five minutes and not more than 10 sheets are wasted during makeready. This has allowed us higher profitability.”
The run lengths for an offset-printed catalogue in Surat range from 200 to 2,000. Therefore, the speed of makeready becomes a critical factor in print production. “It is all about how quickly you can move from job to job and that’s where RMGT is proving its mettle for us,” Jain added. Since the installation in June 2016, SS Graphics has been producing on an average 20 catalogue jobs a day. Its monthly coated paper consumption exceeds 25 tonnes.
Established in 1995, Ankan Offset is a packaging converter. Besides the new RMGT, the company is equipped with a Komori Lithrone 428 and a Komori Lithrone 426 presses, both four-colour machines. It converts over 80 tonnes of duplex board monthly. The company is managed by Jain with his nephews Siddharth Dotiya and Shubham Jain.
