For decades, the Lakhmir Singh series has been the gold standard for science education in India. From integrating the latest syllabus revisions to embedding advanced technology, the series remains relevant and impactful for modern classrooms.
“Our goal is simple yet powerful — to empower students with resources that inspire curiosity and foster success,” Jitendra Kumar Agnihotri, chief executive officer (CEO) of S Chand Publishing (school education), said. “By combining original, high-quality content with state-of-the-art features, we’re making education engaging and impactful.”
However, in an era where educational integrity is compromised by piracy, protecting this legacy has become paramount.
Pirated books dilute the quality of education and undermine the hard work of educators and publishers. S Chand Publishing has taken significant measures to combat this issue. Through targeted raids and legal actions against counterfeit operations, the company ensures students receive only authentic, high-quality materials.
To promote originality, S Chand has also launched innovative initiatives like the scratch and win campaign, fostering a culture of authenticity among learners. This multi-faceted approach underscores the company’s commitment to safeguarding the quality of education.
The scratch and win campaign was designed to reward students who chose genuine Lakhmir Singh books. This engaging initiative offers various exciting prizes worth up to Rs 1-crore.
This year, a brand-new car won by Ishan from Patna as a bumper prize. High-achieving participants have also received 10 laptops. Also, 1,000 sippers and 1,000 neckbands were distributed as consolation prizes.
The campaign not only incentivised students but also created awareness about the importance of using original educational resources. By combining education with innovation and rewards, S Chand Publishing strengthened its connection with students, educators, and parents across India.
Staying true to its legacy of excellence, the latest edition of the Lakhmir Singh series has been revised to meet the requirements of the rationalised NCERT/CBSE syllabus.
Himanshu Gupta, managing director of S Chand Group, said, “S Chand Publishing is not just about selling books; it’s about creating a brighter future for generations of learners. Through authenticity, innovation, and quality, we are crafting resources that inspire a lifelong love for learning.”
