Sacmi Engineering opens new regional headquarters in Mumbai

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused major challenges worldwide and companies are rethinking the way they do business. International technology suppliers such as Sacmi also had to rethink their operations by shortening distances in order to meet customer requirements on time.

On 26 July 2022, Sacmi opened the doors of its new regional headquarters in Mumbai dedicated to its rigid packaging business. Customers, authorities and Sacmi board members attended the event.

The new headquarters will boast 154 high-level technicians. It will serve as a local technology and service hub for all customers. 

Operations at the new headquarters include sales, technical support, training, and direct sales of original spare parts, as well as two offices in Morbi and Ahmadabad in Gujarat.

Inauguration of ​new regional headquarters in Mumbai

Paolo Mongardi, president of Sacmi, said, “By demonstrating the positive appreciation for providing better and faster service to customers, the new regional office confirms the success the company has enjoyed in India since 1982.”

He added that this growth is the result of an “effective synergy between the parent company, Sacmi Imola, and our local colleagues.”

Sacmi has plans to expand in India. The company offers “smart” solutions, both in terms of advanced controls in the Internet Of Things direction, as well as in terms of a structure that can be tailored to meet the needs of bottlers who are considering self-production.
