A brainchild of visionary printing veteran Late N Ayyanathay, Safire was established in 1975. The company’s production facility today is fully equipped with a string of groundbreaking pre-press, press and post-press machines, including Mitsubishi Diamond four and five-colour presses, Heidelberg SM four-colour presses, Planeta Super Variant 4-colour offset press, Komori System 35 web offset press, Numac CTCP, Konica Minolta AccurioPress C2070, and others.

Safire engages in the printing and production of fancy wedding cards, corporate brochures, business cards, labels, stickers, and books of different types. “Book printing is one of our main fortes. For pre-production proof of this task as well as other commercial prints, we needed a black & white production press. The Ricoh Pro 8310S monochrome press from Monotech Systems met our requirement,” Balakrishnan Ravisankar, pre-press manager, The Safire Industries, said.

The Ricoh Pro 8310S delivers 111-ppm on a diverse range of stock. The press is ideal for high-volume production of Safire which works for around 3,000 customers.

Ravisankar said the company is satisfied with the overall productivity prowess and crisp print outputs of the Ricoh press

He added, “To date, we have purchased eight machines from Monotech Systems, which include a CTCP machine and a colour digital production press, and we look forward to buying more from them.”
