Santi Udyog installs Kolkata’s first Autoprint Repetto 65

Kolkata-based Santi Udyog installed the city’s first Autoprint Repetto 65 V2, an automatic sheet-fed flatbed die-punching and creasing machine.

“The investment was with the hope of completing most of the post press processes for the packaging industry customers in house which we could not do earlier,” said Swaraj Sreemany of Santi Udyog whose 25-member strong organisation primarily take up job orders from other printers.

The Repetto 65 can handle papers from 60 gsm to 450 gsm board and registers a maximum speed of 4500 sheets per hour. It incorporates servo controlled gripper assembly for precise registration and its applications are die cutting of mono cartons, boards for pharmaceutical packaging, FMCG packaging and envelopes die cutting for mail handling solution providers apart from use for labels sticker half cut, kiss cutting, perforation, creasing, embossing etc.

“We believe we would be able to take on more challenging job orders in the future with this machine in place and help us move to towards our ultimate aim of executing print on demand,” he added

The installation was done by Printers Supply Company who also represent a host of companies such as Edale, Shakti Udyog, Unique UV, Pressline, Electromec, PS Graphics, Robertson Machinery, Harbhajan apart from Autoprint.
