The statement resonate the reasons he opted for the Scodix S75 inkjet enhancement and decoration machine. “When it comes to making print stand-out, Scodix leaves a lasting impression, delivering true print differentiation,” he added.

The inkjet Scodix S75 is capable of delivering enhancement and decoration on media sizes of up to 20.8x29.5inches, and supports variable data application in PDF or optimised PDF formats without the need of additional complex setup. The digital front end (DFE) transmits image data directly from PC, executing print enhancement in a single step. Among other things, the machine can enhance jobs like wedding cards, visiting card, exclusive and customised greeting cards.

Investment in print enchantment is not new for Aggarwal Digital Studio, which was established in 1990. A passionate advocate of new ways of doing business, earlier, the firm had Noritsu silver halide machinery for wedding albums and Fuji for photo printing.

“As wedding photo book is our specialisation, it made sense to invest in a digital embossing machine like the Scodix,” said Aggarwal. “It serves our purpose of providing metallic embossing on wedding albums.”

The Aggarwal Digital Studio boasts an array of equipments, including a Konica Minolta bizhub press C8000, HP Indigo 3550, HP 6800 wide spread 60-inches printer for wedding photographs, Noritsu LPS-24PRO, Noritsu QSS-3411,3203 and Fuji printer 390.

Today, the firm has around 100 employees, with 30 in managerial roles and rest in technical departments, including editing, printing, and binding and is based in Hisar which is India's largest galvanised iron manufacturing city. Due to presence of a large steel industry, it is also known as "The City of Steel".

On an average, the firm produces nearly 300 jobs per day, with the consumption of 8000-10,000 sheets, and about 100 kg paperboard.

While Aggarwal confirms that Scodix-finished products are getting good responses, he believes that short-run jobs and on-demand printing are growing rapidly. “We are expecting 30 to 40% growth after the investment in Scodix,” he added.
