The Truepress Jet L350UV+LM comes with a nitrogen purge mechanism for accelerating the curing of UV inks, further preventing ink migration and UV odour.
Both the new Screen presses boast of print speeds of up to 60 metres per minute and a wider colour palette with special orange ink, conventional C, M, Y, K and white inks. It has the capability to include a chill rollers in order to process thin substrates that are susceptible to heat generated by UV lamps.
Screen announced the first three installations of L350UV+ at Northern Ireland-based James Hamilton Group, Docuworld in Spain and Impronta Digitale in Italy.
Besides this, Screen also announced a collaboration with Prati for faster finishing. According to the agreement, the two companies will jointly develop an interface between Truepress Jet L350UV series presses and Prati’s Digifast One modular digital converting line. The interface will aim at achieving maximum productivity with a near-line connection such that label printers have the flexibility to run inline jobs as well as standalone offline jobs as per the production requirements.
