Devang Sheth, managing director, Aditya Expositions, the organiser of the show, said, “The Sri Lanka edition of the show has been envisaged after considerable research and interaction with members of the printing industry in the country. We have not just extended the show geographically but expanded its segments as well.”

Sheth said that continuing the tradition of the parent brand, the debut edition of SPSL 2016 is expected to attract exhibitors and visitors from across the globe. “There are going to be focused interactions by visitors who are genuinely interested in exploring business opportunities and new technologies,” he said.

Sublimating Ideas Expo, Label Show and Dyes & Chem Expo will be running alongside SPSL. There will have 45 exhibitors and the show is expected to draw 2,500 visitors from SAARC and ASEAN countries over three days. The exhibition is spread across an area of 1,500 sq/m.

The SPSL 2016 is supported by Screen printing and Graphic Association of India (SGAI).

Technical seminars will also be conducted on the sidelines of the show. The unique ‘Charlie’s Corner’ concept, popular all over the globe, will be among the key attractions at SPSL. It is an informative experience created by Charlie Taublieb, who has been in the screen printing industry since 1976. It has immensely benefitted observers and participants alike, who are invited on the spot to join Taublieb while demonstrating key printing tips and tricks.

Meanwhile, Bhargav Mistry, managing director at Grafica Flextronica, will conduct a seminar on ‘Digital-like effects in textile screen printing.’
