Seminar on electricity and insurance for Lucknow printers
The Lucknow Printers' Association (LPA) organised a seminar on the important agendas of electricity and insurance on 13 September 2015 at the Dayal Paradise Hotel, Lucknow. SK Verma, chief engineer of the Lucknow Electricity Supply Administration (LESA) as the chief guest. National assessor, Shubham Srivastava from Insurance Surveyor Company, Noida, spoke on the issues of insurance.

GD Dwivedi, superintendent engineer, LESA, explained how electricity bills could be drastically reduced by the use of automatic power factor and reducing the gap between KVH and KWH. Meanwhile, Srivastava accentuated on the importance of insurance for the printers and how it can benefit them in the case of unprecedented damaging events.
Harjinder Singh, general secretary, LPA, said, “Officials from the electricity department addressed the possible solutions to the power supply related problems and also explained the ways of expanding the power capacity in the companies.”
Singh added, "The Insurance Surveyor Company created awareness among printers about which insurance to be purchased and which should not be purchased while insuring their setup. Because what happens in most of the cases is that the companies pays the premium, but at the time of crisis when the insurance company does not entertain their claim, they come to know that they have chosen wrong insurance or did inappropriate paperwork."
Among other invitees from the electricity department were Ashok Kumar Srivastava, Madhukar Varma, CVS Gautam, C P Yadav, Ashutosh Srivastava, Anuj Seth and Anand Prakash Shukla.
