Seshasayee Paper and Boards to invest Rs 315 cr towards modernisation
Tamil Nadu-based Seshasayee Paper and Boards has planned to invest Rs 315 crore for upgradation of its unit in Erode.

It has announced that the company proposes to undertake Mill Development Plan (MDP-III).
The project envisages modernisation of machines to increase the capacity from 1,32,000 tonnes per annum (tpa) to 1,65,000 tpa. The procedure of the RDH pulp mill would increase the capacity to 1,54,000 tpa.
It would also involve the upgradation of recovery island and augmentation of waste water treatment plant. In addition, the project would be taken up in phases and implemented between 9 and 21 months.
The work on the project is expected to start in Q2 of the financial year 2019-2020. Funding for this project would be through internal accruals and long-term loans.
