Seventh SaS workshop to focus on adhesives

SIES Graduate School of Technology in Nerul, on 7 August, will host the seventh round of Seekho Aur Samjho workshop. The session in Hindi will focus on 'The adhesives application in printing and packaging.'

During the three-hour session, subject expert, Sandeep Pai, business development manager – graphic arts and paper converting, India and Middle East and Africa, Henkel Adhesives Technologies India, will discuss in detail the intricacies of adhesives in printing as well as packaging and also new technology developments in adhesives.
 
The session will throw light on the different types of adhesives, basic formulations and principles of adhesion. Also, adhesives in print finishing applications in graphic arts and paper converting with respect to folding boxes and litho lamination will be discussed in detail.
 
Additionally, new technologies like PUR in graphic arts and AirFoam technology in paper converting (litho lamination) will be explained during the session.
 
The Bombay Master Printer’s Association along with PrintWeek India (PWI) has announced Seekho aur Samjho technical workshop series for the benefit of print supervisors and operators. This initiative is co-supported by the Government Institute of Printing Technology, Mumbai and SIES Graduate School of Technology, Navi Mumbai.
 
The brainchild of BMPA president Faheem Agboatwala, the workshop will be in the form of a three-hour session including two hours training followed by Q&A. “The idea is to create a platform for skill upgradation of the print personnel at the grass root level. Since, we are trying to educate our workforce, the training will be imparted in Hindi,” said Agboatwala
