SG Edge networks with existing, new customers

Kumar said, as the company did not have any product to cater to the narrow-web flexo market, it has established a manufacturing unit for the same. “Initially, it will be a 100% assembling unit. Hopefully, by the first week of September, we will be launching our first narrow-web flexo printing press,” he added.

The company’s primary target will be the overseas market. “We will manufacture in India and sell overseas, especially Middle East, African and Asian markets. We are establishing our network in the geographies and appointing dealers and representatives,” Kumar added.

The press will be semi-servo driven and web width will range from 320 to 540mm. It will be capable to print all supported and non-supported materials, PVC films, IML labels and others. It will print from minimum two colours to 12 colours. It will be equipped with cold foiling, delam, relam, turn bar and other advance features.

“My past experiences give me the strength to manufacture a quality production machine. We have experience in trading and have created a customer base. Manufacturing is a natural progression from there,” he said, adding, “We will ensure that our printing presses will produce quality labels with economic prices. We have strong technical and development team and existing customer base. Competition in the market will be not a pain point for us. We believe that it will help us to grow.” 

Kumar added that the company will exhibit its narrow-web flexo printing press at Labelexpo India.
