Amit Shah managing director of Spectrum Scan had invited his fellow StB members to visit and understand the unique concept of Bazaar.

Prior to the forum, Amit Shah took all the StB members for a plant tour where the members could see the operations at Spectrum Scan’s both the plants.

The StB session was kicked off by Vivek Tibrewala of GP Offset who spoke at length about bad debt management. He had recently consulted a lawyer for one of his high profile bad debt account. The members unanimously agreed that one should not shy away from taking legal action against a client who default on their payment, even if it results in losing the client.

Speaking during the StB forum, Amit Shah highlighted and emphasised on the need to have Bazaar concept.

He said, “This experience lounge gives total experience of bazaar which includes kirana shops, paan kiosks, ice-cream parlours, and a supermarket at one go, and so, brands can have a real look and feel of their POP items.”

After the small presentation by Amit Shah, Huzefa Kanorwala of HH Print Management India gave the presentation on the ‘key performance indicators (KPI’s) in print’.

Kanorwala’s presentation for StB members gave an overview about how to manage the key factors which enables smooth functioning of the business and growth in profits.

According to Kanorwala, it is important to monitor the time and consumption of raw material on the shopfloor and on the press. This decides the productivity of the press and ultimately the productivity of the company.

Concluding with an example Kanorwala said, “ESP Colour, a printing firm in UK broke its own productivity record with an astonishing 498 make-readies and 2.07 million impressions on its Speedmaster XL105 in one 168 hour week beating its previous record held by its two Speedmaster XL75’s. This proves the efficiency of the company because they follow the KPI’s in print.”
