Rajesh Johnson of Shine Prints said the new machine will help the company achieve consistent print quality.
He said the company zeroed in on the Ricoh because of its prior experience with Ricoh’s print quality, easy setup and operation with available quality of manpower, excellent after-sales support and quicker turnaround of spares and consumables from Minosha India.
Johnson added that since the installation the company has been able to achieve faster production of 70 to 85-ppm. Now, the company has separate machines for mono and colour prints which have helped optimise print costs, and the upgraded Fiery server has helped enhance colour quality output.
Shine Prints was started in 2013 with the objective to cater to the printing requirements of media, retail, educational institution, and manufacturing units located in southern states. The owner, Rajesh Johnson, is an engineering graduate with more than two decades of experience in printing, pre-press, and post-press operations.
The company caters to segments such as the design and printing of POS materials, labels, product manuals, marketing merchandise, and packaging of media, retail, food and hospitality, and manufacturing organisations.
Johnson said after the new installation, the company hopes to achieve 25% incremental revenue due to the increase in productivity, print quality, and new business opportunities.
Going forward, Johnson wants to tap into the growing digital business opportunities in terms of personalized prints, special media, and customised label printings. “In order to seize the opportunities, we will focus on CMYK+ digital printing, variable print solutions, and niche post-press equipment,” he said.
