Showcase of digital photo printing at CEIF
The 31st Consumer Electronic Imaging Far (CEIF) was organised by the by the All India Photographic Trade and Industry Association at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on 9-11 January.

Leading digital press manufacturers showcased their products and solutions for the photo printing industry at CEIF 2025.
The trade fair is dedicated to showcasing the latest advancements and innovations in the field of consumer electronics and images. It serves as a platform for industry experts, professionals and enthusiasts to gather around and understand technologies and emerging trends.

Konica Minolta
Konica Minolta showcased its AccurioPress C84hc, a digital printing solution designed for color reproduction and versatile applications. Its high-chroma (HC) technology expands the colour gamut, closely matching the sRGB colour space, making it ideal for professional and wedding photography, photo books, and nature prints.
Ashok Sethi, chief sales officer, said, “We have been associated with the photo industry for several decades. We have certain products that cater very specifically to the RGB segment. These have been very well received in the Indian photo industry. We have heard printers say that their businesses have grown by multifolds, using our machine.”
Konica Minolta also has a post-print embellishment machine, which it promotes largely in the photo segment.
Manish Gupta, general manager, PP and IP marketing division, said, “At this trade fair, we want to showcase our products live to potential customers. We want them to truly understand how our products function. We want customers to think of Konica Minolta whenever they think of printing.”
Epson
Manish Kumar Hasrani, area manager, Epson, stated, “We showcased our 100-ppm printer and WF- C878R printer. We are proud of the technology and capabilities of these products. We are using inkjet technology, which is sustainable.”
The inkjet technology enables low print cost and power consumption, and reduces eWaste. The WorkForce WF-C878R prints, scans and A3 sheets in colour. The A4 printing speed is about 24 ipm, and it also has a 50 page auto document feeder.
Its paper capacity is up to 1,835 sheets and the power consumption is merely about 40 watts. The product has a warranty of 1 year, or 6,00,000 pages.
Felix Schoeller
Felix Schoeller creates photo imaging paper. It displayed these at its stall in CEIF. Sumit Kanwar, national sales manager, said, “We make specialised papers that are created in Germany. We deal with photo papers, sublimation papers and fine art archival papers.”
The company is flexible with their sizing options in both sheets and rolls. Their fine art archival sheets, for example, are made on canvas and have a shelf life of about 200 years. Its photo papers offer maximum scratch resistance, higher gloss level, haptic performance and ageing resistance.
HP
HP showcased its DesignJet Z6 24 inches and its newly launched Smart Tank T858 36 at CEIF. The benefits of its Smart Tank are that inks and pigments can be put into a bottle, leading to low printing costs of about Rs. 2 per square feet. “This is the lowest rate in the market available, currently,” said Sachin Panwar, sales head, HP.
The device can print on canvas among several other substrates. It can print on A3 jobs using an integrated input tray, accommodate demand peaks with speeds up to 90 A1/D per hour and can save up to 85% ink.
“We see a good crowd and therefore are expecting good closure. We expect about 70 purchases to be made.”
Sun Visual Technologies
Sun Visual Technologies is a brand of audiovisual technologies and therefore, showcased livestreaming devices at CEIF.
“We are primarily showcasing our livestreaming mixer here today. We also have on display some wireless cameras that are capable of livestreaming. This is a huge advancement in technology,” Sonu Kumar, marketing, Sun Visual Technologies said.
“CEIF is the world' s largest such exhibition. It is a great opportunity for clients and sellers to meet and understand each other.”
TechNova
Sandhya Joshi, general manager, marketing stated the the theme of the company’s stall was somewhat like a ‘print renaissance’. “We want people to print more. People have memories that are all stored in digital clouds and ultimately getting lost forever. We want people to make these memories tangible, have physical archives of moments that have been precious to them or that have been spent with their loved ones. Memories are worth printing.”
Technova showcased several different categories of photobooks. It had created albums for different occasions; baby books, graduation books, all showcasing the different passages of time. It also showcased canvas and backlit media designed camerapersons aiming to add value to their business.
The company aimed to network and create awareness among the younger generation about its brand.
Insta 360
Shubham Pandey, regional sales manager, Insta 360, spoke about its newly launched products. “We are called Insta 360, because we offer a 360 degree camera angle.”
The X3 is the company’s most widely known product and it has just launched the X4. The camera also works up to 153 feet underwater, without a dry case.
Colo Photo Shop
Colo Photo Shop showcased its DNP DS-RX1HS printer at CEIF. “The printer offers heat- transferred technology on polyester paper with polyester ink. It offers water proof print quality and the durability is of about 25 years, ” said Omkar Singh, technical director, Colo Photo Shop. The product is a low cost alternative.
The media print size offers glossy and matte finishes and prints media sizes between 3.5x5, 4x6, 5x7, 6x8-inch and certain other perforated measurements.
