Last October, Sree Labeltech installed its first flexo press, the Etirama FIT six-colour 10-inch press.
V Rajapandian, partner at Shre Labeltech, who spoke to PrintWeek India during his visit to Labelexpo India, said, “The Etirama press, with a cold stamping unit and a double die-cut station, has features like any other press, but the price difference was huge. Price is a major factor, in any investment. M-Tech made a lucrative offer and we could not resist.”
Shre Labeltech has 13 machines, including slitter-rewinders. The label press are rotary and flatbed, from Indian manufacturers like RK Labels, beside the Etirama.
Rajapandian said, he has been utilising the first Etirama to its full capacity, and needed additional equipment to up his present turnover of Rs 5 crore. “We had been doing barcode labels, and other small item labels. But with the UV capabilities, we will train our focus on the cosmetic and specialised label segment.”
Etirama has close to 10 flexo label presses installed in India.
M-Tech, which handles Etirama in India, also manages Portugal’s Lemorau for its finishing equipment and Werosys laser die-cutting technology.
