Siddalingeshwara boosts revenue with Bengaluru's first Canon C6010

Located in Hanumanth Nagar, the smallish print hub is very busy with walk-in customers who stand and supervise their jobs. These include visiting cards and brochures. While they instruct the designers on the system to correct the creatives, a TV belts out the latest Kannada songs. Mhahesha who is a movie buff stated this is one way to engage customers who have to spend time at the design station or wait for the delivery of the job." 

The Rs 1.5 cr company started its journey as a screen printer. The privately held company specialises in short run commercial prints, including cards, brochures and print communication, Siddalingeshwara has the experience to meet the communication needs of its hundred-plus customer base.

The new C6010 digital press has 1,200x1,200 dpi resolution and 256 levels of grayscale. Plus it reproduces clear, sharp images with the lifelike skin tones, smooth gradients, and color accuracy needed to satisfy even the most perceptive buyers of printed materials.

Mhahesha who has notched up almost five lakh impressions in the past six months said, "We've been running the C6010 for six days a week for 12 hours. One advantage is it permits us to get our prints right for most common stocks, as well as textured paper." The designer Venkatesh added that "Spot colour matching is good and with the ability to edit the colour tables we've been able to increase throughput on certain jobs."

The main thing is, the eight member team at Siddalingeshwara is busy. For most of offset jobs they are able to outsource it to Sri Siddalingeshwara Graphics which is an offset unit managed by Mhahesha's sibling.

Mhahesha concluded, "So far I don't have any complaints. It is a great machine from the Canon stable."
