Sidel is upbeat about aseptic PET packaging

“Sidel has over 70 installations of dairy aseptic packaging worldwide and it sees huge opportunities in India, since India is one of the largest milk producer in India and there is a need for hygenic packaging of milk in the country,” said Laurent Fournier, country director and managing director of Sidel India.

 He further added, “In the Indian packaging market, PET is outperforming other packaging products due to the increase in the usage of water and carbonated drinks by 10-25%,” said Fournier.Sidel Chakan facility produces blowing and filling lines for water, juices and carbonated drinks packaging. “By 2017, the packaging market for water will double, while that of carbonated drinks and fruit juices is set to increase by 20%,” said Fournier.
