SIES’s Impressions to celebrate Printer's Day on 24 February

Impressions 2015, SIES’ annual technical festival hosted by Department of Printing and Packaging Technology will celebrate World Printers’ Day with a host of events on 24 February at its Navi Mumbai campus.

Sagar Shejwalkar, head of the department at SIES Graduate School of Technology, said, “Since its inception in 2010, Impressions has been a platform for students to showcase their technical and non-technical skills. This fifth edition of Impressions will revolve around the theme of ‘Future of Printing’.”

Reynders’ director, Karl Vandenbussche and LMAI’s Vivek Kapoor will inaugurate Impressions 2015 and unveil the second issue of Adviteeya, the department’s annual print magazine.

The day-long event will see competitions like technical paper presentation, quiz, and other events like PPT innovators, packaging design and treasure hunt.

The highlight of the event is a two-lecture series on demystifying 3D printer and Esko’s ArtiosCad, conducted by SIES’ lecturers.

Impressions 2015 will also feature a two-day exhibition of award-winning print samples on 23 and 24 February.
