The umbrella association which started with 15 associations from the states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka in January 2015, is now said to have 54 associations affiliated to them.
“There are many exhibitions and seminars which take place in metros and prominent cities but we found it necessary that these events should take place in tier-two towns which will reach the smaller printers effectively,” said R Udhayakumar, convener and PRO of South India Printers Association.
The exhibition will see participation from top companies like Xerox, HP, Technova, Konica Minolta, Suba Solutions and more, along with a host of printers’ also taking part.
“We have also organised for a printers’ technical conference titled Mudra with the theme ‘Future of print and beyond’ taking place simultaneously with the exhibition. Both the events are in line with our aim/goal which is to take technology to the grass roots,” added Udhayakumar
SIPA have so far organised several ‘Print Yatras’ with the aim of connecting with rural printers and creating awareness on technology advancements in the industry to them.
“We are also running a selfie contest during the exhibition with the winner receiving a signature edition of Bhagavad Gita,” concluded Udhayakumar.
