SIPA’s Xpo Print exhibition record 15,000 footfall

The association which claims this is the first of the kind exhibition in a tier two city had participation from 67 exhibitors including industry leaders like Xerox, HP, Canon, TechNova, Konica Minolta and Epson.

The exhibitors also included a healthy mix of Indian manufacturers including Auto Print, Megabond, Macro Print etc.

“We can proudly call the event a grand success with over 15,000 footfall recorded over the three days,” said R Udhayakumar, convener and PRO of South India Printers Association.

The umbrella association which started with 15 associations from the states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka in January 2015, is now said to have 54 associations affiliated to them and printers from all the affiliates made their presence felt.

“Out of the 15,000 we can confidently say that about 95% were printers with attendees from Cochin to Trivandrum in Kerala, Nellore to Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh and from 17 associations across Tamil Nadu, apart from Puducherry printers gained from the exhibition,” added Udhayakumar.

A day long technical conference titled ‘Mudra’ was also held on 27 November with 600 delegates attending the event.

Speaking during the conference AMSG Ashokan, founder-president of SIPA said, “This is the first step towards networking of printers from every nook and corner of Southern India. We strongly believe that we will be successful in our goal of taking new technology to the grass root of printing.”
