Sodhisons is a manufacturer of Crosograph platen die-cutter and hot foil stampers since 1967. The company along with Daya in a joint venture also supplies a range of film lamination machines.

The Longhua auto die-cutters and hot foil stamper is capable of exerting 600 tonnes of pressure, and deep embossing to perform critical 3D effects and micro embossing jobs while the flute laminator is a 3-ply/5-ply intelligent servo-controlled machine capable of running at a max speed of 12,000 sph. S KDX-Shenso film laminators are equipped with a hot-knife cutting system with seven servos and an accuracy of +/- 0.5mm.

Rakesh Sodhi, managing director at Sodhisons informed PrintWeek that Sodhisons has installed 115 machines of all brands in India, and some of the key installations have been at Replika Press, Galaxy Offset, Parksons Packaging, Dimple Packaging, Lynx Designers, Creative Offset, Param Packaging, Miracle, and Khosla Printers Print Shop. “Our customers are very satisfied with the quality and range of products we have delivered to them and efficient after-sales service. They are looking forward to having a first look at new launches in PrintPack 2022.”

Sodhisons also confirmed that all the updated machines will be running live at the show. “At our stand, every print CEO/executive will find a solution under one roof, be it folding carton packaging, corrugated packaging, printing, finishing, book-binding, rigid box machines, as we also offer used offset/flexo printing, packaging and bindery machines.''

The two years of the Covid-19 pandemic were tough but with a continuous flow of orders, we kept on sailing, said Sodhisons, who sees investment, consolidation and horizontal expansions in the packaging and printing segment. “Covid-19 has boomed the packaging industry and doomed the commercial print industry. It taught us two things: one, do not keep all your eggs in one basket and secondly, diversification in different segments under the same industry business is the right and safest way.”

When PrintWeek asked, what quality means to him, Sodhisons, who is also the president of the Indian Printing Packaging & Allied Machinery Manufacturers Association, replied, “Quality to us means adopting international standards of construction, precision and performance combined with the latest advanced technology.” He added, “If he was a customer at the show, he would invest in the Longhua die-cutter and KDX laminating machine.” Why? “Because, they both complement each other’s performance,” he concluded.
