Sona Papers celebrates 50 years of being ahead of time

Every year, with the beginning of new financial year, Sona Papers unveils its New Year calendar. This year, the guest of honour for the evening, Luca Berlen from Italy-based Gruppo Cordenons unveiled the calendar. The calendar is a showcase of innovations and ideas that were ahead of their time. From the Hubble telescope to paper currency, from fuel cell bike to tablet computers to jeans and Burning Man Festival, the calendar features 12 innovations, which were ahead of time.
Since 1966, Sona Papers, in association of its foreign principals, has introduced a range of papers to Indian printers, which were not available before. On the occasion, Sanjay Suneja, managing director of the company, offered his insights on this long and eventful journey. Looking ahead, Suneja said in the coming years, Sona Papers would continue to push the design and printing industry forward. He also offered a glimpse of year-long activities and celebrations that Sona Papers is planning to mark its golden jubilee year.
On the occasion, the company also released the ‘Sona Anthem’. The playful anthem pays tribute to the artistic inclinations, highlighting that everyone is an artist at heart.
