The Awards recognises the very best of printing, whether innovation, quality, or out-of-box approach to the medium, in 35 categories across Performance, Quality, and Special Industry Awards. There are 12 Performance Awards, 18 Quality Awards and five Special Industry Awards.

This year, the Awards received more than 261 entries in different categories and more than 850 individual samples for the Quality Awards, with a good number of first-time submissions vying for the Prism with industry veterans.

Unsurprisingly, the packaging categories, including F&B, FMCG, rigid boxes, received the most submissions to the tune of more than 350 individual samples.

Since the 2023 edition, the Jury activities for the PrintWeek Awards are spread across three days to give the respective Jury more time to evaluate the samples received for the Awards and discuss the tech-specs and innovations as well as specialisations in greater detail.

For the Jury Week event, the categories were divided into three groups with three separate sets of Jury members on each day.

All print/packaging jobs were coded and the identities of the companies were kept secret. The Jury reviewed the entries, discussed their choices with their peers, all experts in their respective fields, and made the final selections.

Noel D’cunha, managing editor of PrintWeek and WhatPackaging? magazines says, “PrintWeek Awards are an industry benchmark not only because it is the most coveted recognition in the industry, but also because the samples we receive every year are a testament to the creativity and innovativeness of the Indian printing and packaging industry.”

He added, “This year, especially, we received a large number of print and packaging samples which are truly remarkable, a true synthesis of material and technology, not to mention value-addition. I am sure our esteemed Jury members had a great time selecting the best among the best.”
