Start up firm Color Curry installs Ricoh

Designefx, the Bengaluru-based design studio has ventured in to digital printing with the inauguration of Color Curry, a digital printing firm on 21 October 2012. The new digital printing firm has installed a Ricoh Pro C751 digital production press.

N Nagaraj, director at Designefx, said “Color Curry is an ambitious or rather audacious attempt to redefine and redraw the contours of communication design and digital print. It is a testimony to my belief that the time for austerity is past and the time now is for audacity in the ever-changing printing industry.”

S Suresh Kumar, minister of urban development, law and parliamentary affairs, government of Karnataka inaugurated Color Curry. V Somanna, minister of housing, government of Karnataka, invited Color Curry to collaborate in marketing a housing project.

The inauguration was attended by the top brass of Karnataka printing industry which included Sriyuths Balachandra, Rajhans Enterprises and Chairman of Toptec; Nagasundar of Geetanjali Graphics and president of Karnataka Offset Printers’ Association, Suresh Pai, Sudheendra Print Process; Satish Nayak, Bodhi Professionals; Vishwa Shukla, vice president, XRite and Pantone; Mr. Nath, Ravi Graohics, Mr.Venkatsh, Abhimani Publications & V Babu, Vishwakala Printers to name a few.

Ricoh Pro C751 is equipped with vertical cavity surface emitting laser technology which produces 4800 dpi image, chemical PxP toner and oil-less technology for accurate, smooth offset-like image quality.

Color Curry is a one-stop shop for design, digital and conventional printing. The bouquet of printing solutions spans the entire spectrum ranging from digital sheetfed printing to offset, including variable data printing, customised on-demand printing and communication strategy solutions to individuals, corporates, retail industry, private sector. “After all, printing today is ubiquitous touching every aspect of one’s life: personal, professional and social,” said Nagaraj.

Nagaraj, who has earned a diploma in printing technology from Jayachamarajendra institute of print technology, has worked with various publishing houses. Before the establishment of Designfx, Nagaraj had spent a decade at Ogilvy advertising.
