Strength of Indian paper industry at Paperex from 1-4 November

The 12th international exhibition and conference on pulp, paper and allied industry, Paperex, touted to be the world’s largest paper show, is all set to open its doors to visitors from 1 to 4 November 2015 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, and it promises to be bigger than ever.

The event arrives at the right moment with the country’s paper and paper board production expecting to grow at the compound annual growth rate of around 9.6% during 2012-17, which will make the revenue of the Indian paper industry around USD 11 billion by 2017.

The event will be inaugurated on 1 November at 9.30 am. This will be followed by a panel discussion on the industry.  

Paperex, which started in 1993, is a series of international exhibition and conference aimed at providing business platform to paper, pulp and all allied industries for showcasing the entire spectrum of products and services.

While showcasing the strength of the Indian paper industry, the event will highlight on the latest technology and innovation in the industry. The visitors will have the unique opportunity to directly interact with the leaders of the paper industry at one place.

This year, the event, organised by International Trade and Exhibition India, in association with 12 other trade bodies, will feature 545 exhibitors from 33 countries in 24,500 plus floor area. The organisers are expecting more than 28,000 visitors.

Among the biggest participants will be the major paper brands, including BILT, JK Paper, Century, International Paper, Trident, TNPL, West Cost, Pudumjee, APP, Valmet, Voith, and Andritz, among others. There will also be group participation from countries like China, Finland and Taiwan.

Concurrently, the event will see a conference on the topic ‘Pulp and Paper Industry: Innovations - Need of the Hour.’ The conference, organised by INPAPER International, a publication arm of the Indian Agro and Recycled Paper Mills Association (IARPMA), will offer an opportunity to collaborate, learn and network with the industry leaders and professionals, deliberate on the future of the industry and gain firsthand knowledge on the current priorities and requirements of the industry, among others.
