In addition, the 2016 edition of Romancing Print which will be held on 14 May at the Maneckshaw Centre in Dhaula Kuan in New Delhi will see Shiv Khera deliver a motivational talk. The previous editions of the conference have seen 1000 printers (in toto) from all over India. This year too, the organisers are confident that they would not fall short of the 300 print delegates mark.

The AIFMP president Shyamlal Basu, the Hony Secretary General Sunil Garg and Treasurer, Ravi Joshi called on Subhash Chandra inviting him to me chief guest and keynote speaker for the flagship event. As Sunil Garg said, "Dr Subhash Chandra, readily accepted to deliver the keynote speech at the event."

At the start of 2016, Chandra's autobiography, The Z Factor was unveiled by the Prime Minister at his official bungalow. The autobiography which was reviewed by PrintWeek India has several anecdotes about Chandra's close association with powerful politicians.

Chandra adorns feathers in many of the business hats. This includes a packaging company, as well as India’s first privately owned entertainment channel.

Recently, the USD 3bn Essel Group's Subhash Chandra has undertaken a board-level re-organisation of the entertainment-to-education major. In the past fortnight, key executives of Essel Group’s three listed firms — Zee Media Corporation, Zee Entertainment Enterprises and Dish TV — have stepped down to hand over the reins to members of the family.

According to a SEBI report about the Essel Group, "The trend has been visible for a while, with Chandra, 64, stepping down from the board of companies managed by his brothers to ensure they take complete charge. For instance, in December 2014, Chandra, his immediate family members and the entities controlled by them were no longer part of the promoter group of Essel Propack, the group's packaging arm, as part of a modified family arrangement."

Today, Ashok Goel is vice-chairman and managing director of Essel Propack and oversees the packaging and amusement parks business.
