The most recent installation of the Kongsberg XE 10 is at Kolkata-based Nextgen Printers’ Sikkim unit. An existing Esko customer, Nextgen’s Mahesh Khandelwal said, “The choice of XE 10 for the Sikkim unit came easy to us. For our operations, we have invested in equipment from the top brass in that segment. Esko is undoubtedly the leader in its space. Moreover, we already have a XE 10 in operation at our Kolkata unit.”

But, it is the V series Esko is enthused about. With two models, V20 and V24, the series was launched at the IndiaCorr show in October 2014. This, according to Srihari Rao, sales director of Esko India, is “the fastest selling machine in the Esko stable with 11 installations, plus strong prospects.”

“The V series is designed for the packaging and the sign and display industry, with size being the variant. The equipment can cut, crease and plot a wide range of tasks,” he added.

The V24, which is on display at PrintPack has been installed at MK PrintPack, Daman; L&E India, Delhi, Pyramid Packaging, Bengaluru; Lily Packers, Surat; Parksons Packaging and Trigon Digital, Mumbai; Stora Enso and Label Kingdom, Chennai, SP Tech Park in New Delhi; Pattabhi, Mysore; and ITC’s Haridwar plant and Nestle.

Additionally, the company has reported installations of the XP series at Pyramid Packaging, Parkar, Meghdoot (Delhi); the XN series at Malhar (Mumbai), and Wadpack (Bengaluru); and the XE 10 at Lynx Designer & Creators (Noida) and Apple Print Pack (Hyderabad).
