Atul Chaphekar, owner, Suprint Offset Printers, said, “We were looking for a cost-effective violet technology CTP solution for our in-house plate requirements. Malhotra Graphics, the dealer of Fujifilm, who provided us the imagesetter offered us to replace it with the Fujifilm Luxel V-6e.”

He further added, “As we shifted from conventional pre-press set-up with this violet platesetter, we were able to save costs incurred in positives, negatives, developing chemicals etc. This machine throughputs 20 plates of 20x30inch per hour and thereby shortens the platemaking time. We were able to double the production speeds thanks to this platesetter.”

Commenting on the reliability of the platesetter Chaphekar said that it provides 0% wastage. “Since installation, in last 20 months, the platesetter has delivered more than 25,000 plates and not a single plate turned out to be defective during exposure, development or while using the plates for producing prints on the press,” he added.

Abhishek Warang, regional sales manager-west, Fujifilm India, said, “The huge time and cost savings Suprint has realised through the Luxel V-6e is testament to the violet technology.”

Besides Luxel V-6e, Suprint’s set-up comprises of Komori Enthrone, Max Machinery’s single-colour offset press, Fujifilm’s plate processor and two Polar cutting machine.
