Surat's Creative Graphics confident about industrial jobs
Creative Graphics with 30 to 35% growth rate has made the right moves. As the business grew in volume and revenue, Piyush Bhootwala, the proprietor of Surat-based Creative Graphics invested in Grafica Flextronica’s cylinder press: a fully automatic screen printing machine of size 20x30-inches with inline UV. After success in value addition, he has ventured into graphics and industrial screen printing by investing in a Grafica Camshell, a 30x40-inches semi automatic screen printing machine.

Creative’s USP is industrial jobs which include stickers for fire extinguishers and industrial vinyl stickers. The firm also produces graphics screen printing which includes wide-format jobs to create advertising display boards on rigid substrates like sunboard apart from decals for automobiles, industrial signage and screen printing on substrates like glass, MDF (medium-density fibreboard) acrylic and metal boards for indoor and outdoor placements that require precision in halftone printing.
Bhootwala said, “We plan to undertake manufacturing of dome labels, bicycle stickers and stickers for home appliances."
In 2010, Creative invested in a mini Camshell and an exposing machine from Grafica Flextronica and had started offering value addition on jobs for saree boxes.
The firm doubled the shopfloor size from 2400 sq/ft to 4800sq/ft to accommodate post-press facilities and a Grafica Cylinder Press with inline UV.
Currently the firm offers print finishing with UV for saree boxes, garment tags, folders, corporate jobs, clothing boxes, sweet boxes, jewellery boxes and other types of packaging jobs with 90gsm to 400gsm paper up to sizes ranging from 20x30-inches to 30x40-inches.
The success of Creative Graphics is based on my mantra that opting for high-end technology is not adequate; you need solid knowledge.
This gets reflected in Creative’s growth figures that stand at 40 to 45% when it comes to volume and 30 to 35% when it comes to turnover.
Bhootwala said, “One of the key elements that has contributed to my success in screen printing is the knowledge I attained from Dhirubhai Mistry Institue (DMI) that is run by Grafica Flextronica’s Bhargav Mistry for education in print. Today I have the confidence to roll out 40,000 sheets with special effects; and I know I can compete with the best.
