Surat-based Gautam Paper Udhyog has added another cylinder press from Grafica to meet the demands of packaging with value addition, which has pole vaulted to 18-lakh per month.

Gautam Paper Udhyog, which consumes around 3.5-metric tonnes of paper and four tons of UV varnish inks, caters to customers from Surat, Ahmedabad and Rajkot in Gujarat; Mumbai, Bhiwandi, Ratlam, Kolkata, Mathura, and Varanasi.
“We have earned a good reputation as a quality saree box manufacturer following the value addition work we did using the first Grafica cylinder press, which we purchased in 2010. It raised the bar for quick delivery, prompting the need for one more installation,” said, Jitendra Modi, CEO and managing director at Gautam Paper.
Gautam Paper started packaging box manufacturing for textile industry in 1999. It is equipped with a raft of single- and multi-colour offset presses, pre- and post-press machinery including screen printing kit. Over the period of time has enhanced its capacity to produce – from one-lakh boxes per month to 18-lakh value-added boxes per month.
The company operated from a 36,000 sq/ft plant in Surat and employs 70 persons.
