Surat’s Shivranjani Imaging installs Xerox Versant 3100

The firm offers printing services in graphics arts, commercial jobs, personalisation/ variable data printing, among others.

According to Sagar Detroja, one of the two partners of the firm, though they looked at other digital print engines, they came to realise that no other machine in the category could match the print quality, media gamut, atomisation, and operations of the Xerox Versant 3100. These are the reasons, besides ease of operation, Detroja said, the company went for the Xerox kit.

Sunit Patel, the other partner of the firm, also pointed out the training provided by Xerox, especially in managing the Fiery server, SLM, achieving and maintaining print quality, hardware and software training.

Patel said, “The experience of running the Xerox has been good. It works up to our expectations,” adding that after the investment, the company is looking at 20 to 30% growth.

Started in June 2016 as Shree Balaji Imaging, the company started trading under the current name in June 2017.

The major segments that Shivranjani caters to include textile, photo and graphics, of which textile, modelling agencies and graphic studios are the primary customers.

Beside the Xerox, the company also has a Konica Minolta 1100, thermal lamination, UV India Coat, among other equipment.

Around 10 people work Shivranjani’s shopfloor measuring 1,400 sq/ft. Till date, the company’s turnover has been Rs 2.5 crore and expecting to grow upto Rs 3.3 crore.
