Suresh of S T Reddiar re-elected Secretary General of FAPGA
Suresh Rajendran, chief executive officer, S T Reddiar & Sons was re-elected as as the secretary general for Forum of Asia Pacific Graphic Arts (FAPGA). The election took place at the 14th meet of FAPGA which was hosted by China Academy of Printing Technology at Shanghai on 12 and 13 November, 2014.

The first meeting of FAPGA was organised at Japan during 1996 and the association consists of members from Korea, Japan, China, Philippines, Malaysia, Australia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, New Zealand, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Philippines, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and India.
With the theme “Innovation – opportunity and future” the recently concluded FAPGA meet was aimed to invite leaders of printing associations and organisations from worldwide to deliver speeches on current situation and trend of printing industry in the global, in Asia-Pacific, and in different area, on the innovative breakthrough and the discovery of the upgrading of printing industry.
The key speakers were Ralph J Nappi, president of NPES, who made a presentation on “the opportunities and threats for the US Print Market through 2017” and Harvard Grjotheim, president of INTERGRAF, the European federation for print and digital communication who shared details and statistics on the ‘Performance of the Printing Industry in Europe’.
The previous meet of FAPGA was held at New Delhi in 2013 hosted by the All India Federation of Master Printers and the next meet of the association is proposed to be held in Malaysia.
