Taco makes an artistic impact at Index show
The Taco Vision stall at the Index show in Mumbai from 8 to 11 June was a sight to behold.

The Times of India Index 2017 Exhibition was inaugurated by Arti Kirloskar. The other guests of honour present were Prem Nath, Reza Kabul, Niraranjan Hiranandani and other specialists from the world of architecture and interior designing.
Aura Art eConnect set up a cluster of stalls for artists under the banner of art enclave. Taco Visions participated in this exhibition with a unique transformation of artists painting, converted into 3D Lenticular art.
According to Vinist Jadhav, Principal - Graphics, R & D at Taco, “Artworks of many artists like Vijay Raut, Vijayraaj Bodhankar, Barin Khan, Vikrant Bhise, Bhavna Sonawane, Jitendra Suralkar, Jitendra Sule, Shubhangi Gade,Tanuj Bhramar, Pritam Sarkar, Parshuram Ramchandran & the photographs of Ramesh Soni, were transformed into 3D lenticular art”. This according to Jadhav gave a new dimension to their static artwork on canvas. Jadhav said, “Most of these artists, after seeing this transformation, in the exhibition were spellbound, to see how lenticular art could help them in creating a new audience and a completely new platform.”
Among the many visitors who attended the show were: artists, architects, art connoisseurs, designers etc. who appreciated the concept. This cross-section are willing to implement the same in their respective field. Jadhav added, “The experiment was a grand success and Taco Visions is now looking forward to spread their wings worldwide and work harmoniously with the art fraternity, to give an entire new platform to their paintings and thereby take it beyond dimension.”
Taco, which has successfully adopted innovative printing as its forte, was awarded the prestigious Lenstar Award in the Artistic category at Drupa 2012. In 2016, the company was nominated again for the same award, as well as in the large format lenticular category.
Taco Visions also received all three gold, silver and bronze awards in lenticular printing conducted by the International Association of Printing House Craftsman (IAPHC) in Minneapolis, the US in 2010.
The company was featured in the 2012 edition of The Limca Book of Records for conceptualisation and installing the longest (68ftx8ft.) animated 3D (lenticular) wall mural at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.
