Taxation on the menu for Printer’s Day
As a part of Printer's Day celebrations, Mumbai Mudrak Sangh has organised an open house panel discussion on the pressing issue of taxation, 'Taxation and the Printer' on 12 April at The Courtyard by Marriot in Mumbai the panel discussion will be followed by 217th Governing Council Meeting of the All India Federation of Master Printers on the 13th and the 14th Arpil.

Pramod Parulkar, secretary, Mumbai Mudrak Sangh will kick off proceedings with a welcome address followed by the Keynote address by Uday Dhote, director, Dhote Offset and a qualified chartered accountant will also serve as the moderator for the panel discussion.
The panel will consist of Ajay Wadke, a practicing chartered accountant who will focus on direct taxes and general co-ordination; R Sundaram, a lawyer by profession with more than 15 years experience in the field of excise, service tax and customs.
Kiran Garkar has served as the editor sales tax review and secretary of the VAT core committee, he will be talking about VAT; Sanjay Patel, president BMPA and packaging printer will represent the print fraternity on the panel, he has taken keen interest in taxation matters while representing AIFMP and CBEC.
Narendra Jadhav, a renowned economist and a member of Planning commission (Government of India) is the chief guest for the programme while Govind Bhargava, president AIFMP is the guest of honour.
Followed by the panel discussion is the bestowment of Life Time Achievement Award on R Chockalingam of Sivakasi-based Srinivas Fine Arts for his contribution towards industry and social causes.
More than 300 print CEOs are expected to attend the event.
