TCPL inaugurates flexible packaging unit
TCPL Packaging has announced that it has completed setting up a new flexible packaging unit at Dapada, Silvassa.

TCPL Packaging is one of India’s largest manufacturers of folding cartons. The new plant, which was inaugurated on 14 September 2016, marks the packaging major’s entry into the flexible packaging market.
According to the company, the Dapada plant is now ready for commencing trial production.
The cornerstone of the flexible packaging unit is Bobst Rotomec rotogravure printing machine and Nordmeccanica Super Combi 3000 laminator.

The packaging major was recently in the news for sealing a big-ticket deal for three new KBA Rapida 106 offset printing machines at Drupa 2016. Of the three, a seven-colour plus double coater Rapida 106 combi UV press, which is planned for TCPL’s Silvassa unit, will be shipped in October 2016.
The second KBA is a six-colour plus coater Rapida 106 conventional press with a high-speed package of 20,000sph, India’s first. The third machine is a seven-colour plus coater Rapida 106 combi UV press. Both the machines are expected to be installed in the first quarter of 2017.
