The key features of the phoenix 4.0 are automatic sheet optimisation and automatic imposition with the ability to ‘gang’ different jobs together on one sheet to save waste, matches artwork to die-cut patterns better and is able to adjust for artwork that does not perfectly fit the space. Nested layouts can be exported as CFF2, PDF or Postscript for cutting.

Anit Kumar Saha of TechNova said, “Phoenix 4.0 has been developed with inputs from TechNova, which runs both on Windows and Mac, and has a simple interface. We communicated the problems that Indian operators facewhile using imposition software.”

Saha said the current version of Phoenix is very easy to use and gives the option to edit the artwork till the last moment. “It is also the most versatile imposition software in its range that does ganging for wide-format jobs and tightly nested layouts for folding cartons and labels as well,” he said.

TechNova Imaging Systems are the SAARC representative of Tillia Labs. Phoenix 4.0 was launched on 10 October 2014.
