The Smartjet is a result of TechNova’s strategic partnership with San Diego-based digital printhead manufacturer Memjet to manufacture printing solutions for label segment.

The machine, which boasts of Memjet printheads, was launched at Pamex in November 2013. The low foot print kit is suitable for print-on-demand label solutions, personalisation requirements and self adhesive applications such as labels for PET bottles.

According to Parag Pimple, genral manager-sales and marketing, packaging segment, TechNova Imaging Systems, the SmartJet LP 112 is ideally suited for high-speed high-res print-on-demand labels on various media types with capabilities to change the content on the fly. This includes applications like pressure-sensitive labels, retail tags, professional documents and many other applications.”

The SmartJet LP 112 works on Memjet’s patented Single Pass "waterfall" nano-technology. The system can achieve a maximum print speed of 12 inches / second at 1600 x 800 dpi, making it one of the fastest in its category. At the highest print resolution of 1600x1600 dpi, the printer can print six inches / second.
