The print industry. Your view?
Print, and especially packaging print, is evolving with customisation. Sharing numbers from a Future Market Insights report, the personalised packaging market stood at USD 36.10-billion last year and will rise to USD 60.39-billion by 2033.

What trends do you spot?
Digitally-printed labels and packaging are on the rise. Flipkart’s supply chain operations now enable efficient reverse logistics for consumers who wish to return the product.

Packaging in recent times that has impressed you?
TimTimFoods’ Healthy Celebrations, Diwali gift box of assorted dry fruits. The golden hue is appealing, and the UV matte texture ensures a tactile feel. The packaging deploys a minimal design and a golden box which hosts the images of the contents – walnuts, cranberries and pistachios.

Are GenZ loyal to brands or do they prefer exploring other alternatives?
Being conservative with my pocket money, I have always vouched for discounts on products. So brands with loyalty programs are welcome. Hence, Tata Enterprise – Westside has been my go-to shopping store with rewards.

Your take on sustainable packaging?
Whether paper or plastic is the most sustainable substrate, the choice will depend on the application. The problem centres around the re-usage and restoration of the packaging material into the production cycle.

Do you read books? Over movies?
No, but I have read Chetan Bhagat’s The 3 Mistakes of My Life. Right after, I watched Kai Po Che based on this book. I feel one of the many themes, friendship through hardships, could well portray the message that Bhagat sought to convey.

Would you rather be like Einstein who is good with numbers, or Shakespeare who is good with words?
I’d like to be Einstein because numbers count literally, on and off the press.

One thing that is on your bucket list?
Visit Baddi, Himachal Pradesh – the pharma hub of India.
