Toyo’s Atre a member on Pune University’s BOS
Prashant Atre, managing director of Toyo Ink Arets India, has been nominated on the Board of Studies (BOS) for printing engineering at the University of Pune.

Named after the great Indian social reformer, educationist, anti-abortionist and poet Savitribai Phule, University of Pune is a globally respected University since 1949.
According to Atre, the objective of this Board is to ensure the best for the industry, by reviewing the curriculum. “The role of the members is to suggest improvements in curriculum based on the latest technology, industry needs and bringing programs, that will benefit the students in their understanding of the subject.”
The first meeting of the BOS was held on 11 March 2019, which was chaired by Dr Shaligram, dean of faculty of science and technology. “Atre’s presence on the board brings the much-needed insight about the industry demands and expectation for the graduating students,” said Dr Shaligram.
Atre added, “My life has come a full circle”, from being a student of the first batch of printing engineering to being a part of such an august Board.”
