Amit Aggarwal, sales director of Transasia, talking to the PrintWeek India team at the show, said the company has re-launched itself through a new branding - “Papers by Kyoorius”. The "O" series is one of our ranges of papers launched at the PrintPack. Separately we have launched the Stone paper, which has a break-through technology and the most environment-friendly paper. “Like stone, this paper is also water-proof but unlike stone this paper is not hard, though it is tear-resistant. Imagine how this can change the paradigm of packaging papers for bags, box cover, toiletries, etc – it's a boom for the packaging industry,” he said.
Besides being tear- and water-resistant, the other unique characteristics of the Stone paper is that it is anti-moth, photo degradable, recyclable and according to the company, still very economical – a unique best of all worlds. The paper can be used for printing birthday card, tags, book covers, folders, package boxes, calendar, business cards among other applications.
According to the company, Transasia has changed its strategy in the last two years. “We aim to keep getting differentiated products from across the world and sell relevant to India products rather than just products manufactured by paper mills,” Aggarwal said.
