Transpack specialises in manufacturing printed corrugated boxes and boasts a robust setup, including a six-colour plus coater press, a two-colour Heidelberg press, fingerless corrugation machines producing B- and E-flute, and various other machinery for manufacturing three-ply, five-ply, and seven-ply boxes, as well as duplex boxes. Additionally, the company has multiple manual die-cutting machines, a hot foiling machine, and Indian cold lamination equipment.

Khandelwal stated that the decision to invest in the BOBST Novafold 110 A2 was driven by the need for superior quality, productivity, and efficiency. He emphasised the importance of minimising wastage and maintaining top-notch quality in their products. After evaluating various options available in the market, the company chose Bobst due to its technology, ergonomic design, metallurgy, value for money, and reputation as a pioneer in folder-gluer and post-press machinery.

The machine is capable of handling straight-line, lock-bottom, and partition jobs. Equipped with a corrugation kit and squaring devices to avoid fish-tailing for disproportionate and E-flute cartons, along with a Baumer HHS glue gun, it made a suitable choice for Transpack’s requirements.

“With this new addition, we could increase our carton production manifolds and are very happy with our decision to go for the Bobst machine,” Khandelwal said.

Transpack is a partnership business between Munish Goel, founder; Raghav Khandelwal and Pradip Khandelwal. Munish is responsible for business development, Raghav is responsible for production and supply chain, and Pradip is responsible for finance. The company is growing at a CAGR of more than 15%.

“Our focus on sustainability aligns with the growing demand for eco-friendly packaging solutions in India,” Khandelwal said.

Chandrashekhar Dhote, regional manager, sales (North & East) India folding carton of Bobst, added, “Since its launch in 2022, the Bobst Novafold has been a highly successful model. This versatile machine can be configured to meet both current and future customer requirements. It is designed for mono-cartons as well as corrugated cartons, capable of running straight-line, lock bottom, disproportionate lock bottom, conical cartons, partition boxes, and other specialised designs. Bobst’s expertise ensures that process support is always available to every customer. Additionally, being a modular machine, Transpack has the flexibility to retrofit four and six attachments at any time in the future.”

Khandelwal also highlighted the immense potential in the packaging industry in India, driven by the country's low per capita consumption and the increasing shift towards sustainable alternatives to plastic. Transpack's vision is to maintain its position as a top-quality product provider and continue catering to the evolving needs of its clients across various sectors.
