It was very touching and at the same time, a heartwarming experience, to read the personal memories and the rich homage being paid to my father-in-law. We are very thankful,” said Mamata Kulkarni, daughter-in-law of Dr Pa Bha. “The Trust is an attempt to take his work and ideals forward.”
Kulkarni said the initial plan is to offer scholarships/aids to deserving students studying printing in our institutes, namely, MIPT and COET. “We also want to institute an award for excellent work/contribution in the printing industry. Both of these will be the annual events of the Trust,” she said.
Towards this, Kulkarni and her husband, Bipin Kulkarni have already contributed Rs 1,00,000. “We were further blessed when on behalf of the former President of India Pratibhatai Patil, her husband Devisingh Ransingh Shekhawat, who was presiding over the function, also announced a contribution of Rs 51,000,” Kulkarni said.
The Trust now seeks help from the print fraternity. “We appeal to all to contribute generously to the Trust to carry forward the work of our beloved Pa Bha sir and cherish his memory,” Kulkarni said.
