According to the flexible packaging specialist, the Kraftika tubes use moisture-resistant kraft paper sandwiched between layers of plastic. This enables a plastic reduction of almost 50% to 70% based on the product's application and tube diameters.

The company claims that the virgin kraft paper used for the tubes have a low cobb value (low moisture absorption) and high burst value (tube integrity). The paper is FSC certified and provides stiffness to the body of the tube allowing bounce-back properties. In addition, the paper also prevents collapsing of the tube even after continuous usage and reduction of the contents.

The FlexiTubes brand focuses on providing critical features such as aesthetics to creating shelf appeal, barrier for protecting the ingredients and anti-counterfeit features for brand protection. “Kraftika tube has all the properties and features of FlexiTubes including reverse printed high-end graphics and barrier. The natural look of kraft paper provides a very earthy look to the tube,” said a company press note shared with WhatPackaging?.

The new package is available in plastic and aluminium barrier laminate structures for varied applications such as oral care and cosmetics.

“Our products are not only technologically advanced but at the same time addresses sustainability needs across our industry through the creation of eco-friendly products, source reduction, light-weighting, and recycling of plastic,” the press note added.
