Ravindra Joshi, director of UMP, said, “We were looking to invest in a press which could cater to the short-run jobs. Earlier we had decided to purchase a Heidelberg CD series press and that's when we got a good offer which could fit a KBA and a Shinohara press at the cost of one Heidelberg press. Moreover, the machines were in good condition and were loaded with CIP3 and CIP4.”
Joshi added, “We have housed a complete range of equipment, which is required to keep a full-fledged print shop and are also in a position to cater to short-run jobs.”
ShreeJ Printers, the parent company, was established in 1971 under which UMP was incepted in 1999. The firm also houses a five-colour KBA 104, a five-colour Heidelberg and two single-colour Heidelberg presses.
