Unprecedented demand leads to expansion of inaugural Fespa Eurasia

The inaugural Fespa Eurasia 2013 in Istanbul, Turkey from October 3-5, 2013 has attracted overwhelming number of exhibitors, which has seen more than 80% of the initial 14,000 sq/m exhibitors space booked seven months prior to the show.

Due to increasing demand from new and existing exhibitors requesting to take larger stands currently unavailable in the halls, Fespa has now decided to move the exhibition into larger halls, making it one third bigger than its original size. This expansion takes the show to 21,000 sq/m.

"In my 17 years in exhibitions, I have never seen such an overwhelming response to a launch event, now the challenge in moving halls is making sure that we keep all our exhibitors happy," said Fespa managing director Neil Felton.

In addition to Turkey visitors are being targeted from Central and Eastern Europe including Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Greece, Kazakhstan, Russia, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

"Turkey sees itself as a regional hub, and in the main the shows there at the moment are local rather than regional," said Felton. "Fespa will be more international and will have more content."
