Uttam Nimkar RIP

Uttam Nimkar of Om Graphic passed away on 18 March. His print firm was located in Malad West. Recently he shifted to Vasai. Prior to setting up his own printing firm, Nimkar was a production manager, having worked with Dattaram and Karishma Advertising before venturing into entrepreneurship with his own printing press.

Prakash Canser, president of MMS said, "I remember Uttam Keshav Nimkar as a visionary founder and longest-serving director of Om Graphic Packaging India whose journey began on 11 July 2011 in Mumbai. Nimkar's legacy is marked by his dedication to excellence in printing services and his unwavering commitment to professionalism."

Canser added, "Beyond his professional achievements, Nimkar was known for his nobility, simplicity, and graciousness, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. His active involvement in MMS's knowledge sharing workshops and G2G sessions showcased his passion for continuous learning and collaboration."

Amit Shah, president, BMPA said, "The BMPA Board grieves the loss of Uttam Nimkar. An important and pleasing personality is no longer in our midst."

Shah added, "Leaving behind cherished memories and moments for all of us – near ones and not so near ones and those distant too. He was always seen sporting a smile, jovial and great good company."

Besides helming Om Graphic, Uttam Nimkar was a member of Mumbai's two premier associations BMPA and MMS; plus the packaging forum.

Both Canser and Shah said, "Uttam Nimkar will be fondly membered and dearly missed."

Teams MMS and BMPA have extended their heartfelt condolences and strength to the Nimkar family and staff at Om Graphic in these challenging times.
