Vakil’s Bimal Mehta to discuss eBooks at Masterclass

The fourth Masterclass by PrintWeek India will see Bimal Mehta of Vakils Premedia and a member of BMPA’s Share-to-Benefit forum speak about ebooks and mobile apps. Mehta will address printing and packaging engineering students on 30 April 2014 at SIES Graduate School of Technology.

In the one-hour session, Mehta will reveal his print journey and the evolution of Vakils Premedia in a Q&A with Ramu Ramanathan, editor, PrintWeek India.

In part two of this Masterclass session, Mehta would give a sneak-peek about the advent of digital publishing in India wherein he will discuss eBooks and mobile apps, and their impact on the printing and publishing industry.

Vakils provides a range of ePublishing o­fferings such as eBooks on Amazon Kindle, Apple iPad, B&N Nook, Google Android etc and all sorts of ePublishing services.

Bimal Mehta, executive director at Vakils Premedia said, “The communication industry is changing, which is affecting the printers world over and India is no exception. Unfortunately, our ink and paper focussed industry does not talk about the changing times but our consumers are clearly looking at other alternatives.”

The Masterclass series, which was initiated in January 2014, has seen print stalwarts such as Rupesh Sawant of Superlekha, Faheem Agboatwala of Hi-Tech Printing Services and Fred Poonawala of Comart in earlier sessions.
